Is Zana only for invoicing? +
No. Zana has three modules: Billing for invoices and M-Pesa payments, Engage for bulk SMS and WhatsApp campaigns, and Utility for metered utility billing. All three share the same workspace, customers, and payment infrastructure.
Do my customers need an account? +
No. Customers pay through a secure link - there is no sign-up and no app to install. Only your team signs in to Zana.
How do customers pay? +
M-Pesa via STK push is the default - the payment prompt lands on the customer's phone. Card and other methods are available through Paystack.
Can I send bulk SMS or WhatsApp messages? +
Yes, with Engage. Build contact lists, create reusable templates, and send targeted SMS or WhatsApp campaigns. Delivery is tracked per contact and opt-outs are managed automatically.
Does it support metered billing for water or electricity? +
Yes, with the Utility module. Capture meter readings, configure tiered tariffs and standing charges, then run a billing period to generate invoices for all accounts at once. Invoices flow into the normal M-Pesa and pay link collection process.
